Streamline Your Workflow with Batches in eHub Ship

Batches are powerful tools in eHub Ship, designed to enhance order processing efficiency in warehouses. This guide will walk you through the concept of batches, their benefits, and how to leverage them effectively in your operations.

What are Batches?

Batches group orders together, enabling efficient picking and processing, especially in warehouses with multiple pickers. Think of them as work assignments, breaking down orders into manageable units for streamlined processing.

Benefits of Using Batches

  • Increased Picking Efficiency: Batching orders allows pickers to focus on a smaller, organized set of orders, reducing travel time within the warehouse and accelerating overall picking speed.
  • Simplified Order Tracking: Batches enable tracking of multiple orders collectively as they move through picking, packing, and shipping stages.
  • Balanced Workload Management: Batching helps distribute the workload evenly among pickers, preventing any one picker from becoming overwhelmed.

How Batches Work

    • 2. then click the Batch button located between Rate Shop Rules and Tags. You can rename the batch or let the system assign a code with the date, timestamp, and creator’s initials (e.g., 20240722-1136-JS).
    • Printing: Easily generate and print documents like packing slips and picklists.

  • Picking: Pickers can create batches, allowing them to focus on only their created batches.
  • Batch Tracking: Monitor the progress of each batch and its orders through the picking, packing, and shipping stages.

  • Batch Management
    • Utilize new search filters to view batches clearly.
    • In the Orders section, choose to see All Orders, Unbatched Orders, All Batches, or specific batches.
