A SKU Alias links two or more SKUs to represent the same physical product across multiple e-commerce platforms. This ensures inventory levels stay accurate, even when different SKUs are used on different stores.
When SKU Aliases are configured and Inventory Write-Back is enabled, inventory changes are automatically synchronized across all connected stores. In order details, aliased SKUs will appear as the master product.
Step 1: Set Up SKU Aliases
- Navigate to the Inventory tab.
- Locate the Master Product (the SKU you want displayed in the order details).
- Under SKU Aliases, click the Add SKU button.
- In the SKU Alias field, enter the alternate SKU.
- From the store selection dropdown, choose each connected store where this alias appears.
- Click the Save button.
Step 2: Enable Inventory Write-Back to Stores
Inventory write-back is supported for the following stores:
- BigCommerce
- Cart Rover (and integrations through Cart Rover
- eBay
- Magento
Shopify - Squarespace
- Square
- Walmart
- WooCommerce
How to Enable Inventory Write-Back:
- Go to the Settings page.
- Click on the Stores section under Account.
- Scroll down to Inventory Updates.
- Select Read & Write.
- Click the Save button.
