Overview
This article explains the different order statuses in eHub Ship and how they function throughout the order fulfillment process. Understanding these statuses helps ensure accurate processing and shipping of customer orders.
Order Statuses Overview
Status:
- Unfulfilled
- Needs Review
- Ready
- On Hold
- Fulfilled
- Canceled
Unfulfilled
When you select the Unfulfilled tab, you will see all orders that are either in Needs Review or Ready status. This allows you to manage all unshipped orders from a single view.
Needs Review
Orders appear under Needs Review for any of the following reasons:
- The shipping address is invalid and needs approval or correction.
- Shipment data is missing, such as:
- Weights
- HS codes
- Missing or invalid email/phone number
- The order was previously On Hold on the store side and requires manual review before shipping.
Ready
Orders with all required data will be in the Ready status until a label is printed.
Note: This is different from the label being created. A printed label has either been sent to a printer or saved as a PDF.
On Hold
The On Hold status is used to temporarily separate orders that may not be ready for fulfillment. An order can be placed on hold in the following ways:
- Unpaid Order: If the order status in the store shows as unpaid, it may be automatically placed on hold.
- Store Status: The store itself marks the order as On Hold.
- Manual Change or Automation: A user manually changes the status to On Hold, or an automation has been set to do so automatically.
Fulfilled
An order reaches the Fulfilled status when a shipping label has been created and printed. This marks the completion of the shipment.
Canceled
Orders that are canceled move to the Canceled status. Canceling an order voids the shipping label (if created), and requests a refund from the carrier.
